Temporary Closure of E. Lakeshore Dr. Beneath I-10 Announced

As the CMAR contractor positions heavy equipment for construction of the new I-10 bridge over City Park Lake, DOTD announces the extended closure of E. Lakeshore Drive on both sides of I-10 beginning November 6, 2023. This location is on the east side of City Park Lake and the street will be closed to vehicular, pedestrian and bicycle traffic. The diagram below, which will be erected as signs around the lake, depicts recommended detour routes to Dalrymple Drive for the duration of the street closure which is anticipated to last approximately three years.

A public open house providing information about this closure is offered by the Contractor on Monday evening, October 23, 2023 from 6pm to 7pm at the Lod Cook Alumni Center on LSU’s campus – 3838 W. Lakeshore Dr. Project team members and additional information will be available at this event.
