Briefing to Louisiana Legislature Joint Transportation Committee
On the morning of August 24, 2022 representatives of the project team provided a status briefing to Louisiana legislators: Senators and State Representatives comprising the Joint Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. DOTD project manager Nicholas Olivier, P.E. opened the presentation providing a general project overview and description of the organizational structure of the project team. Consultant James Taylor, AICP delivered the briefing of project timeline, construction sequence, and community amenities by referencing a set of 29 on-screen exhibit slides. Following the presentation, questions posed by the legislators were answered primarily by Olivier, by DOTD Director of Communications Rodney Mallett, and by lead engineer Robert Schmidt, P.E.
